How to find if your system supports Windows 11?

It’s been more than 6 years since Microsoft dropped their last Windows operating system with a major overhaul, Windows 10. This week, Microsoft has rolled-out their new OS, Windows 11 with a lot of surprising and fantastic features.

The Windows 11 comes with a staggering new look that’s second to none and a string of features that takes the productivity curve a step further. Keeping in mind about the growing priority of consumers on the need for privacy, security, and reliability, Microsoft seem to have rewired their operating system just perfect.

Availability

Though the new Windows 11 is rolled-out on October 5, 2021, it is to be noted that the OS is not immediately available to everyone. The older your system is, the longer it can get for you to install the updates.

Eligibility

To see if your system is applicable for Windows 11 update, you can use the Microsoft’s PC Health Check app.

Follow the below steps:

  1. Download Microsoft’s PC Health Check by clicking Microsoft’s PC Health Check.
  2. Open the file.
  3. Agree to the terms of service.
  4. Click Install.
  5. Enable the checkbox that says Open PC Health Check.
  6. Click Finish.

If your system is compatible for Windows 11, you can download the Windows 11 update for free.

If your machine isn’t compatible, you’ll get a message that says, “This PC doesn’t currently meet Windows 11 system requirements,” with more information below.

Note: If your device isn’t compatible, you will have to replace your system within 2025 as Microsoft plans on phasing out the Windows 10 in the upcoming years.
