Previously Google Meet was allowed only for the G Suite members. But due to the unpredicted spike in the demand for video conferencing, in May, Google announced that anyone with a Google account will be able to use Google Meet for free.
In addition to the Google Meet website, you can also use the Google Meet in your phones by launching the Android and iOS application. It is quite simple to install and use Google Meet on your phone. Google says, Meetings are limited to 60 minutes for the free product, though they won’t enforce this time limit until September 30. You can invite up to 100 participants for the meeting.

- Go to the Play store and search for Google Meet app.

- Tap on ALLOW, to allow Google Meet To take Pictures and record video and audio
- Choose the Google account that you want to sign in with
- By Tapping + You can start a new meeting Or Tap Meeting code to join a meeting.
- Enter the Meeting code to join the meeting

If you have an iPhone, you can download the application from your App Store and follow the same procedures as above.
