How to open Spotify links in Apple Music or Apple Music links in Spotify?

If music is a universal language, then sharing music to your friends and family should be called the ‘conversation’. Sharing your favorite music is nothing but a simple one click job, however having to open the link you receive from your friends can be quite tricky at times, especially when you and your friends are using two different platforms to consume your music. We understand the predicament when it’s your Android friend who uses Spotify sends you, an iOS user using Apple Music. So, that’s why we thought it was best to help you with an app suggestion we recently came across.

Note: The below suggested solution works only on iPhones running on iOS 15 and later.

How to open Spotify links on Apple Music

1. Go to the Apple App Store.
2. Search and download the MusicMatch:Listen Anywhere
3. Open the MusicMatch:Listen Anywhere
4. Tap Get Started.
5. Select your preferred music streaming platform as Apple Music.
6. Tap Next.
7. Tap Next until you reach the end of the tutorial.
8. Tap Skip For Now when prompted for sharing the app.
9. Go to the Spotify link you want to open in Apple Music.
10. Copy the link.
11. Open MusicMatch:Listen Anywhere.
12. The link is auto populated.
13. Tap Open in Apple Music.

How to open Apple Music links on Spotify

Similarly, you can open Apple Music links in Spotify as well. To do so,

1. Go to the Apple App Store.
2. Search and download the MusicMatch:Listen Anywhere
3. Open the MusicMatch:Listen Anywhere
4. Tap Get Started.
5. Select your preferred music streaming platform as Spotify.
6. Tap Next.
7. Tap Next until you reach the end of the tutorial.
8. Tap Skip For Now when prompted for sharing the app.
9. Go to the Apple Music link you want to open in Spotify.
10. Copy the link.
11. Open MusicMatch:Listen Anywhere.
12. The link is auto populated.
13. Tap Open in Spotify.

Note: You can also try using the Safari Extension of the MusicMatch:Listen Anywhere app to directly take you to the preferred music platform right from a click on the link, however when the Techmye team tested it, the feature wasn’t completely helpful. Watch out for the app update and try it to avoid manually copy and pasting the links to open them.
