What is Google Maps Immersive View?
The immersive view is an upcoming feature in Google Maps that basically helps you explore the world or your destination with the magic of Live View in your favorite third-party apps. To put it in simple words, Google’s advanced computer vision and AI allow them to merge billions of Street View and aerial images to create a realistic AR kind of a world to provide you with a near-world experience.
With our new immersive view, you’ll be able to experience what a neighborhood, landmark, restaurant or popular venue is like — and even feel like you’re right there before you ever set foot inside. So whether you’re traveling somewhere new or scoping out hidden local gems, immersive view will help you make the most informed decisions before you go. – GOOGLE MAPS
How to use Google Maps Immersive View?
In its own style of simplicity, Google Maps Immersive View will be available just like any other Maps feature. You can search for the destination or the place you want to view and click on the immersive view option at the top of the results. The new Immersive view takes you virtually to the place with near realistic depiction of the traffic, weather, and astronomical data from Google Maps, Google Earth, and Street View with animated digital models that even include neat touches like birds flying over buildings, animated landmarks, and reflective bodies of water.

What are the supported devices for Google Maps Immersive View?
Google has been a king in providing platform agnostic features, i.e., features for all irrespective of the device or the platform the use. According to the statement from Google, Immersive View too will be available for all phones (iOS and Android) and other devices.
